No phone, no computer, no television, it was perfect! We made campfires, climbed rocks, climbed a mountain, climbed trees, threw rocks, swam, played in the sand, napped on the beach, picked blackberries for our pancakes, roasted marshmallows and burnt marshmallows, all with nary a toy in sight. Okay, there were a few toys but their draw paled in comparison to the nature around us. As it should be.
