Construction Process (this was a combined family effort and took a few days):
Juice bottle for the cavern, cardboard strips, newspaper and tape to create the mountain form.
Paper mache to smooth and shape.
A few layers of paint, dry brushing, sparkles and fixative spray. We decorated it with rocks, mini dinosaurs and lizards.
The result: Vinegar, baking soda, red juice powder, and a couple drops of dish soap go inside the cavern....then watch (our's erupted for about 10 minutes!).
